West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said on Friday that West Bengal was already running into a loss of thousands of crores of rupees, but took pride in the fact that her government still managed to take credit for the salaries of the employees.

He said that the state government has disbursed an amount of Rs 35,10,200 for a social pension for a period of two months.

“Do you have any idea how much we have lost in these few days of lockdown? Several thousand crores… we have no earnings, but only burning, ”Banerjee told reporters at the state secretariat.

“Our government is the only government that has paid salaries on the first day of the month. What would they (employees) eat otherwise? ” he said.

The Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo said that there are many states which do not pay huge debts at the Center like West Bengal but have emptied their coffers during the bandh.

“There are many states which do not need to repay Rs 50,000 crore loan like ours, yet their coffers are empty. There are many states that cannot pay full salaries to employees… some paid only 40 percent… I can take pride in what we could do. ”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged people to turn off their mobile phone lights, candles or lights for nine minutes at 9 pm on April 5, saying that those who obey the PM’s message can follow his instructions Huh.

“The Prime Minister will speak his mind and I will say my words. I cannot interfere in anyone else’s case… If you think the Prime Minister has said something good, then follow it … It is a personal decision, “Banerjee said.

“They are claiming that the Center has provided rice … but how can it be possible … PDS is run by the state government,” she said.
