India-US partnership to fight Kovid-19, PM Modi says after call with Trump

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday held a telephonic conversation with US President Donald Trump over countries threatening the Kovid-19 epidemic. The two leaders agreed to lay the full weight of the Indo-US partnership to fight the deadly Kovid-19 disease.

“There was an extensive telephone conversation with President @realDonaldTrump. We had a good discussion, and agreed to deploy the full force of the Indo-US partnership to fight Kovid-19, ”the Prime Minister said in a tweet.

Discussions between the two global leaders come at a time when both countries are vulnerable to highly contagious coronaviruses.

The United States has so far confirmed 2,78,458 cases of Kovid-19 and over 7,100 deaths.

India reported 3,072 coronavirus cases on Saturday and 75 deaths occurred in its various states.

On Saturday morning, the Prime Minister chaired a joint meeting of empowered groups formed to ensure the planning and implementation of Kovid-19 response activities in India.

Government data shows that the maximum percentage of Kovid-19 positive cases is 42% in the country and is reported among people between 21 and 40 years old Trump.

The government also released the age profile of all the 3,072 Kovid-19 positive cases reported since January 30.

The situation is more serious in the United States. The total Kovid-19 affected cases in the US have so far reached 2,78,458, surpassing Italy, Spain and even China, where coronavirus originated in December 2019.

According to Health Ministry data, 60 coronavirus-19 cases were reported in Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, and Delhi on Saturday as 58 coronavirus patients became critical, with the highest spike and 12 deaths in the last 24 hours Trump.

The state of Maharashtra with the highest number of Kovid-19 cases in India has 537 Kovid-19 patients and 26 people have died so far.
