WhatsApp stickers based on popular characters help prevent coronavirus: Tarak Mehta’s inverted glasses

In a fun yet innovative and informative twist, Neela Film Productions Pvt Ltd has launched a WhatsApp sticker based on the popular characters of its flagship show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma (TMKOC) to prevent the spread of Novel Corvavirus (COVID19).

TMKOC and its characters have a fan base across age groups and social strata. Memes based on the show have been in use on social media for many years.

TMKOC is billed as the world’s longest-running daily comedy show and most of its characters are household names in India and many other countries.

First aired in 2008, TMKOC is in its 12th year, with 2800 episodes in previous years. The makers are also running a series of educational episodes to stop the spread of Novel Coronavirus (COVID19).

TMKOC has now come up with WhatsApp stickers on personal hygiene and social isolation through humor expression.

The show is helping to raise awareness about precautionary measures and hygiene procedures, as advised by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to prevent the spread of the disease.

TMKOC characters are household names in the country and their popular faces are being used to spread awareness about basic dos and dots in relation to novel coronaviruses.

Jetha Lal says with a sticker, Corona to Daro Na, Popat Lal cancels going out, the island said stay safe, Sonu did haat dhoa, dr. Elephant said don’t be kalakand Iyer is saying hello to any handsome. These are some innovative WhatsApp stickers invented to help educate viewers and the general public in preventing the spread of the virus.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma has dedicated episodes of her show at prime time to educate viewers on various aspects of dealing with the health challenge. Cleanliness, hygiene has been emphasized and also to avoid spreading rumors or panic. Dekho Neela Film Productions Pvt Ltd shows Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma Monday to Friday at 8:30 pm only on SAB TV.
