The PWD Minister Shri Satyendar Jain, today, praised the Delhi Jal Board and PWD officials for their tireless efforts and work in Public Interest. The Minister tweeted on Sunday about the record time completion of repair work in South Delhi’s Hauz Khaz area. “The tireless efforts of our Delhi Jal Board officials have restored the broken water pipeline before yesterday midnight under the IIT flyover. Thereafter, our PWD officials worked round the clock and repaired the sunken road under the IIT flyover in record time” informed Satyendar Jain via Twitter.
There was a leakage issue under the IIT flyover and the road was submerged in water and was closed for traffic causing inconvenience for the commuters. The DJB took immediate cognizance and issued a press note that water supply might be affected in the adjoining areas and water tankers will be ensured. The DJB officials then worked on war-footing, repairing the broken pipeline in less than 8 hours, and the water supply was restored before the next water supply time. By midnight, the supply was restored which was the next supply time and hence, people were not affected.
The PWD then took over and worked around the clock repairing the sunken road so that it could be opened for commuters as soon as possible. This turnaround only shows the dedication of the Delhi government’s departments in the public interest, ensuring public convenience. The AAP government is committed and dedicated to work for the public interest day in and day out.
