Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday sought forgiveness for putting people in trouble by ordering a complete lockdown in the country but said the fight against coronavirus is one of life and death.

“My conscience told me that you would definitely forgive me because I had to make some decisions that have made you very difficult,” he said in his radio program Mann Ki Baat.

“In particular, when I look at my poor brothers and sisters, I definitely think they must be wondering what kind of prime minister it is that has put us in this position,” he said.

Modi has addressed the country twice in the last few days on the issue of coronavirus outbreak.
The Prime Minister, in his address on March 24, announced a 21-day nationwide bandh, as the government, as part of efforts to combat the spread of Kovid-19, infected around 1000 people and so far 25 people have died in India. is.

Earlier, he called for a Janata curfew on March 22, which continued for 14 hours as people stayed away from roads and public places during this period.
