New Delhi: The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has announced compensation for passengers on the Delhi-Lucknow Tejas Express. If the train is late for more than an hour, then passengers will be paid Rs 100 and for the journey of Rs 250 if the train is late for more than two hours. The Tejas Express will run between Delhi-Lucknow from October 4. On October 4, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will flag off Tejas.
IRCTC has said that passengers will be compensated if they do not arrive on time. 100 rupees will be given for delay of 1 hour and 250 rupees will be given to each passenger for more than 2 hours. The Tejas Express is the first train operated by a private company. IRCTC is responsible for monitoring the Tejas train.
Tell you that insurance facility will also be provided in the train. Under this, coverage of Rs 1 lakh will be given in case of theft of passengers’ luggage during the journey. The train will also have facilities for personal LCD screen, on board Wi-Fi service, comfortable seats, mobile charging, modular bio-toilet and sensor tape fittings. In the train, the fare of a chaircar from Delhi to Lucknow will be Rs. 1125, while the fare of executive chaircar will be Rs. 2310.
