Kareena Kapoor declared that she’s “not a feminist” and she believes in equality during a promotional event for her recently released film Veere Di Wedding. The Internet was least impressed and trolled her mercilessly but Kareena stands by had she said then, even today. In an interview published in HT City on Tuesday, Kareena was quoted as saying: “What was wrong in the feminism statement? I’d still say that I beleives in equality and there is nothing erong in it . Most people think that feminism means male bashing and it makes women superior. That’s what they’ve always meant, otherwise, why would they be fighting on Twitter every time. However, I would also like to add, that in a way, I am a bit of a feminist but I am a feminist in the right way. I’m not trying to say that men are lesser because they are not. I believe it takes two to tango in any kind of a relationship.”
